very simple question about PRAM

I got a second hand power book g4(A1095), it doesn't has PRAM circuit board, when I connect power and power on, I can hear chime and light from middle of front edge of bottom case, and reading noise from DVD, but screen shows nothing, just wondering whether black screen is just because of not having PRAM circuit board. If i want to buy one, should I must buy the one which match A1095, or other model's PRAM is also fine for A1095?
